Announcing the Semi-Finalists for the Best Practices and Innovations in Seafood Award 

 

 The purpose of this award is to identify and appropriately recognize individuals, companies, associations, and/ or communities that are serving as leaders in finding successful new ways to respond to the demands of the seafood industry.

 

The nominees were nominated by their peers and evaluated by a knowledgeable committee.

 

The semi-finalists are (in no particular order):

·       Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI)’s Cook It Frozen!®.

·       Jac Gadwell - Kwikpak Fisheries, LLC.

·       Kenai River Seafoods

·       Mark Witteveen & Rob Baer - Kodiak SOLSTIX® with Alaska Spirit LLC.

 

This winner will be announced at a special awards reception at the Global Food Alaska Conference and Trade Show in Soldotna, AK on June 13^th.

  

The award review committee members are:

·       Lauren Jones, Lead Auditor with AQS

·       Mike Rzeszut, Vice President, Business Relationships- Wells Fargo

·       Dick Jones, Director of Seafood with H.E.B. Supermarkets

·       Ron Klein, Program Manager with the AK Department of Environmental Conservation

·       Clark Pearson, Seafood Inspector, retired, AK Department of Environmental Conservation, and NOAA/DOC

This prestigious award will be presented at this year’s Global Food Alaska Conference and Trade Show in Soldotna, AK   Join us at the show!
